America Interfering with other Countries

The U.S interferences with other counties problems depend on the situation. I think the U.S should get involved if the country asks for help. Sometimes the U.S gets into other countries business when they do want our help. For example, Vietnam didn’t want our help when it was going communist. The U.S did more damage than helping. I also think the U.S consider interfering with a country when a natural disaster accurse. When the tsunami hit the coast of Indonesia, the U.S supported the counties affected by sending supplies and volunteers.

Barder and the Flying Turban

Write a story to the visual you see. Assume the dog's name is Barder, and that the orange turban gives him the power of flight…

_____Barder was a lonely dog and didn't have anyone to play with. Everyday he would walk the streets looking for someone to play with, whenever he would see someone, he would run to them joyfully. Everyone always got scared of him and ran away. One day when Barder was walking down the street he saw a little boy wearing an orange turban walking down the street. Barder slowly approached the boy, but the boy didn't run away. The boy slowly reached to pet Barder on the head. He knew the boy wanted to play.

"Hi, my name is Xander. I'm looking for someone to play with, do you want to play?"

Barder barked loudly. They ran up and down the streets chasing each other. When they stopped to rest Xander said to the dog:

"Do you want to do something really fun? See this turban I am wearing, it grants the power of flight. Do you want to fly?"

Barder licked Xander's hand indicating yes. The boy climbs onto Barder's back. Slowly and smoothly they lift into the air. Barder and Xander fly high over the city, over the clouds and into the stars.

Reverse Writing

For this assignment we suppose to choose a photo from Bill Sullivan's Turnstile Photography Project and write a short story about that person. The short was to narrate what happened either before or after they passed through the trunstile.

_____Andrea woke up early to study for a test. She was a good student, she wanted to be a socialogist. Before Andrea started to study she got dressed, washed up in the bathroom and put on her hijab. After she ate a small breakfast of a bagel and orange juice. While she was eating she began to study and lost track of time. Two hours into studying, she gets a phone call from Jessie, her best friend.

"Where are you? Your were suppose to meet me at Starbucks to help me study, remember?"
"I'm so sorry. I started studying and lost track of time. There's still time I'm on my way."

Andrea closed her notebook and headed for the door to her apartment. She immediatly turns around to grab her notebook.

"I can't forget this." And rushes out the door.

She runs to the stairs and takes them down two at a time. The station was two blocks from the apartment. Andrea waited patiently to cross the busy street. She made her way across the street and quickly headed for the station. Andrea rushed down the stairs. A few feet from the turnstile, she got another call from Jessie.

"I'm almost there. I'm about to get on the train."

She could hear Jessie crying. As she went through the turnstile she asks:
"Jessie what's wrong?"
